We know that not too many people are aware of Lithuania and where this country is located at.
Some basketball fans know Arvydas Sabonis was from Lithuania, Žydrūnas Ilgauskas, Linas Kleiza etc. Others know Žydrūnas Savickas, one of the world's foremost strongmen or Jonas Mekas, a Lithuanian filmmaker, writer, and curator who has often been called "the godfather of American avant-garde cinema."
Let us introduce you a little bit where we are from and how we live!
Lithuania - officially the Republic of Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuvos Respublika) is a country in Northern Europe, the southernmost of the three Baltic states. Situated along the southeastern shore of the Baltic Sea, it shares borders with Latvia to the north, Belarus to the southeast, Poland, and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad to the southwest. Across the Baltic Sea to the west lies Sweden and Denmark. Its population is 3.32 million. Its capital and the largest city is Vilnius. During the 14th century, Lithuania was the largest country in Europe! Scientifically and geographically proven, that Lithuania is actually the geographical center of Europe!
